This is the firmware 1.4 for the Miss Parker device. WARNING-WARNING-WARNING The new front UI PCB is solving a potentiometer inversion issue of the old one. As a consequence, Miss Parker using the old front PCB or the new one need a different firmware. That's the reason why two firmwares are delivered from now on till all Miss Parker are upgraded with new front UI PCB. The final "Plus" extension of Miss Parker Plus is different from the prototype I had in the past. The current firmware is adapted to work with the "Plus" extension as available on the website. As a side effect for now, it may be that the effect name in Miss Parker Manager is not matching with reality. An update of Miss Parker Manager may follow soon in case of problem. In case of issues on the two previous items, please don't hesitate to contact lall@axoris.be. WARNING-WARNING-WARNING To check the firmware version you are using: 1) connect Miss Parker to your PC 2) launch the Miss Parker manager tool 3) select the "Help" then "About" menus 4) read out the firmware version number To upgrade the firmware on your device: 1) connect Miss Parker to your PC 2) launch the Miss Parker manager tool 3) select the "Miss Parker" then "Upgrade firmware" menus 4) follow the instructions and when asked for a file name, select the MP_firmware-v1.2.iic file from this archive 5) shut down your Miss Parker and power it on again so that the new firmware takes effect WARNING-WARNING-WARNING From firmware v1.3 onwards, the firmware is not compliant with the older Miss Parker Manager (works ok with Miss Parker Manager 1.2 and newer) due to some missing messages. As a consequence, please make sure you're using at least version 1.2 of the Miss Parker Manager with this firmware. WARNING-WARNING-WARNING Please note that upgrading a firmware is an important process that should not be interrupted. It is advised that you do nothing else on your PC when upgrading the firmware. In case of doubt, please contact info@axoris.be Change history: Version 1.4 Solved another problem in stand-alone usage when the "Plus" extension of Miss Parker Plus was used. This was not affecting Miss Parker without extensions. Generated a second firmware to cope with non-inversion of potentiometer in the new front UI PCB. Version 1.3 Solved a problem in stand-alone usage of Miss Parker. Data memory was incorrectly initialized from eeproms. Added the USB messages to read from the DSP memory. Could be used for debugging purposes in the future; if not, this may be removed again for PMEM optimization reasons. Version 1.2 Removed the StorePotentiometer message, the Miss Parker manager now stores directly the values in the eeproms. This quick&dirty workaround has last for definitely way too long. Improved even further the "non smooth" potentiometer move issue under Windows XP. The polling interval is now made bigger as the HID report queue is made smaller on Windows platforms. Added a Packet counter byte when sending data to the PC so that the PC can make sure that the report it gets is indeed the one it asks for. Version 1.1 Solved an issue making potentiometer moves in an non smooth way under Windows XP. Added first basic support for the Miss Parker Plus extension. Optimized code size here and there... Version 1.0 First public release of Miss Parker's firmware. This is expected to be a stable release; the next release should contain MIDI support.
